As a payroll service provider, privacy of the data received throughout the client relationship is very important to the MinistryWorks team. We make every effort to protect your privacy in all areas of operation.

This Website may provide interactive services, including chatbot and managed chat and session replay technology. By accessing or using any of these features, you agree that we may record and retain a transcript of all communications with you via these interactive tools, and/or may record or recreate your activity while using the Website, in order to provide services, enhance your Website experience, and for quality and verification purposes. We may work with trusted service providers to analyze, store, and/or use this data on our behalf. Your use or access of any of these tools or of our Website is governed by this section, our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.

 

What Information We Collect

We collect and keep only information that is necessary for us to provide services under our contract with you and to provide other services you may request from us. Throughout the client relationship, we will collect certain types of Client Confidential Information.

Client Confidential Information includes, but is not limited to, a combination of the following identifying information:

  • Your name, address, telephone number and E-mail address;
  • Other contact information provided to us in connection with your account; and
  • Information about your transactions with us, such as payroll processing and related tax filing services we may provide to you.

We may obtain the Client Confidential Information described above from:

  • Processing your payroll and generating related tax documents
  • Your application and related forms
  • Processing and recording your transactions
  • Information available from public sources
  • Information and reports you provide to MinistryWorks
  • Information you provide to Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company
  • Your Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company insurance sales agent

Client Confidential Information does not include any information that is available to the public through governmental or private organizations, state or federal court systems, media outlets, or otherwise.

 

Marketing Email Communications

We use information about you to communicate with you about products, services, webinars, and events, and to provide educational communications such as risk management information, newsletters, and information we think will be of interest to you via email. You may opt out of this type of marketing communication by following the instructions at the bottom of those email communications. If you opt out of promotional or educational email communications, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as information about your account or policy with us.

How Your Information May Be Used

In addition to any lawful purpose, your information may be used for purposes that include, but are not limited to, the following:

In the normal course of our business, we may disclose information we collect about you to companies or individuals that contract with us to perform service functions related to payroll or tax processing. When we provide confidential information to a third party contractor or service provider, it is our expectation that these providers will safeguard your information, will use the information only for the intended purpose, and will abide by applicable law.

We may allow the following entities or individuals access to your confidential information for business reasons: i) affiliated entities of MinistryWorks, LLC*; ii) our employees as well as employees of our affiliated entities; iii) independent sales agents; and iv) contractors and third party service providers. In addition to valid business reasons, we share your confidential information with these entities or individuals as permitted by law; to comply with legal or regulatory requirements; or for the purposes of offering ministry-focused products or services other than payroll services.

*For purposes of this notice, “affiliated entities” include the parent companies of MinistryWorks, LLC (American Church Group, LLC and Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company) and any subsidiary entities.

We are committed to keeping the personal information collected from our clients as confidential and secure as possible. We maintain security standards to protect your personal information, whether written, spoken, or electronic.

Information collected through the secure portion of our website is encrypted for your protection. While there is always a risk of security breach of information processed over the Internet, MinistryWorks is committed to procedures to help combat such security breach.

We recognize and respect the privacy concerns of our clients. We are committed to safeguarding your personal information. We are posting this privacy notice for informational purposes and will update and post subsequent notices as changes are made or as required by law.
